About the Photographer - Marcus W. Reinkensmeyer
Although it is only a part-time avocation at this point, Marcus W.
Reinkensmeyer finds himself increasingly involved in landscape and
waterfront photography. Recently, he “rediscovered” his
passion for photography after a long time away from the fine arts,
mainly due to the press of family and other professional activities.
Marcus is grateful for the support of family and friends in the revitalization
of his photography ventures.
As a long-time avid hiker and cyclist living in Scottsdale , Arizona,
Marcus attempts to capture images of remote wilderness areas as well
as scenic areas with man-made structures. His work is intended to reflect
and celebrate the essential elements of nature, the transient quality
of weather and light, and the fragile essence of today's changing environment.
Reinkensmeyer's photographic credits include publications in Shutter
Bug , the Photographer's Edge, The Court Manager and
a Hurricane Relief Charitable Campaign calendar project for the National
Association for Court Management ( www.nacmnet.org ).
His work can also be found in a new book, Windswept Landscape:
Images from the Arizona - Utah Border, a joint collaboration
with two other landscape photographers, www.blurb.com.
In his other “real world” life, Marcus Reinkensmeyer serves
as a public sector executive. He holds a Master's Degree in Public
Administration from Northern Illinois University , a Bachelor's Degree
(Fine Arts and Psychology) from Michigan State University Honors College
and a Graduate Fellow of the Institute for Court Management, National
Center for State Courts.
